Sweet Pea PYO

£20.00

We’re growing over 30 different sweet peas this year - come down to our cutting patch and pick a bunch for yourself, and immerse yourself in the scented rows.

How does it work?

As we are a small farm we ask for you to book a timed entrance slot. We are limiting sessions to 6 people as you have plenty of space. One ticket provides entrance for 1 person. You will then have 90 minutes to wander through the sweet peas and pick. On arrival you will receive a quick demo on how we pick to maintain the health of our plants, and we will answer any questions you may have.

Each person will be given a jar to cut into - these hold up to 100 stems of sweet peas. If you would like an additional jar to cut more once you arrive these are available to purchase separately.

We have 1 block of 4 rows outside, plus extras in our large polytunnel. You are welcome to pick from both areas, but the inside tunnel we are using for a seed crop, so you may see a number of sweet peas in there setting seed already, due to the hot weather!

We have teas, coffees and cakes which you are welcome too, and you are permitted to walk around the rest of our cutting patch too.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your own scissors or secateurs. I you do not have any please let us know before you arrive so we can arrange some for you to borrow. Please also wear sensible shoes - ideally trainers or boots. We are a working flower farm, and surfaces are uneven. We have landscape fabric down between rows which can hide uneven surfaces. No open toed shoes will be permitted.

Please be aware:

We are in the very early stages of converting the nursery to a working flower farm - as such approximately 50% of the space is currently cultivated. You are more than welcome to wander around and through one of the small meadows, but please understand that there are still areas for us to work on.

What if I can’t make it?

We are unable to offer refunds on our tickets, but you are welcome to switch to a different time, or transfer a ticket to a friend.
